AAMC: Washington Highlights reports that the House Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee on July 15 approved (11-5) its FY 2011 spending bill that provides $176.4 billion in discretionary spending for the coming year, an increase of $12.7 billion (7.7 percent) but $1.5 billion less than President Obama’s request.
