I'm actually headed out to the UK mid November -- we've been trying to contact NHS London for some facility tours and interviews and to learn a little bit about the health system there in a comparative study that we've been doing (so far with American and Chinese health care systems). Welcome MudPhuD! In respect to your pathology wish list, it reminds me of a funny anecdote regarding physical examine rounds. As part of our second year advanced doctoring curriculum we get to examine and learn from inpatients. Well just near the end of our cardio block our preceptor took us to see this patient and had us examine his heart. Well the three of us in our team looked and listened in all the normal places (A - right upper sternal margin, P - left upper sternal margin, T left lower sternal margin, M - left lower mid clavicular line) and each of us came up with quick conclusions to something abnormal. Was it a rub? Was it a murmur? I swear that opening click sometimes can be hard to hear! As we mulled over our findings the preceptor pulled up his imaging in his electronic records and sure enough situs inversis! Needless to say we went back to flip our listening over the right chest and his symptoms magically resolved
